If you like local history, you will find this interesting! A monument to early pioneers who lived and died there.
Trying to decide which Gold Beach attractions to see on out way to Coos Bay is not a tough decision as there as so few; however, we did stop by for 15 minutes to view this graveyard and historical site. no tourists, there are no rides, food booths or gift shops. but it's an incredible piece of oregon's history. if you want to know what happened to the wife & daughter, stop by the curry county museum in town.
This is one of those hole in the wall parks that, doesn't really do anything for ya. This small day use park is located a few miles north of Gold Beach on the west side of the highway. It is *not* suitable for any large RVs, but small motorhomes should be okay.
