We travel from Colorado to the Pacific Northwest yearly or as often as we're able, and have stayed at South Beach many times since 1996. Great campground, clean bathrooms and shower areas (not even pay showers!). There are SO many sites, and you can find whatever you're looking for-treed site, grassy, more isolated, or nearer to facilities, etc. We recently... More

My family and I camp here yearly. It is a great family place. You can chose from so many different sites to suite your needs. Some are open, some are great for group camping and some are more private. Whatever you want, its there. They have mostly friendly hosts there. We did come across one old guy who got mad... More

The beach isn't far from the car park. It is a nice place to walk and enjoy the ocean. There is a foot wash near the car park.

We have been camping our way down the coast for spring break. This campground is excellent! Clean, private sites. Quiet and well maintained. Not far from Newport sites if you want them. The beach is fantastic and has been a great place to try out the kites we bought. It looks like this is so nice that we are going... More

We stayed here while traveling down the Oregon coast and it was the nicest state park we've stayed at. It's an older park, but it has hot showers and grassy areas for kids to play in. Access to walk to the beach from the campground area is quite a hike, but you will find a parking area just outside the... More

Great park in all seasons. The wind surfers come here during the summer and the camping area is huge. I saw a bobcat running across the road once and have seen deer in the park. I live close by but love to go there, even using our RV there at times.

Lovely spot, fun to search for pretty rocks, agates, sea shells. Again, all part of the Oregon coast experience and not to be missed.

We reserved a yurt which was lucky for us as it gets really cold here at night in september. Some nice walking trails and a nice beach with sand dunes really close. Close to Newport. Very big campground.
