Great for a picnic, bringing the kids, the grandparents, and the dogs. And a camera. Wish I lived in one of the houses near by.

After twelve days in Oregon we were back in Portland to catch our flight, so we decided to grab a movie at the Bagdad Theater. On the way, we saw the park, but needed to make the movie, but when we came back, we took time to stroll through. We loved it. A very nice, green park and you sort...

Dogs have their own area, but many are on leash and on the paths. Lots of joggers, walkers and bikers, so watch what's behind you.
Whether for jogging, strolling, walking the dog or listening to a symphony or watching a Shakespeare play, got to love this close in SE park. Fall foliage is usually gorgeous.
Weird that you can rank parks on here, but Laurelhurst is one of the best in the city, with rolling hills, a pond, great dog park and some beautiful houses around it. Great place for a stroll or to take your dog.
If you are a dog person this is one of the best parks to take your pup for a good romp. It is a great park and one of the larger in city parks in Portland complete with a small lake.
I love Laurelhurst Park for the year round beauty and for the number of neighbors you see walking the paths. The fall color is amazing and the spring flowers beautiful. Winter blooming flowers fill teh air with perfume in January.

Great park on the East side of the River. We saw a great variety of trees and a pond that spoke pure Oregon. We were there early but even then the park seemed quite popular. there is also a specific area to have dogs off leash
It is beautiful park in an area that has stately homes built many years ago but which has lost some favor as a place to live.
