Tours include the award-winning “Best of Portland,” showcasing what makes Portland such a fabulous place to live and visit (daily, 10 AM and 2 PM); our scandalous “Underground Portland,” aka "the worst of Portland," revealing both the physical and metaphorical subterranean story of Portland's sordid past; the eerie “Beyond Bizarre”, a hands-on exploration of Portland's paranormal, using real ghost-hunting equipment as seen on shows like "Ghost Adventurer" (TM) and "Paranormal State" (TM); our delicious “Epicurean Excursion” walking tour, a tasty immersion into Portland's amazing culinary "slow food" scene; and our indulgent “Chocolate Decadence Tour," exploring and sampling chocolate in its many solid and liquid forms, from bean to bar and everything in between. « less

The booking of the tour, the scheduling, and the confirmation was all very easy and professionally handled. The tour itself was below average. Our tour guide needed to stick to the subject, stop with the antics and the acting, less about himself, and his activities in theatre, vs the actual information of the tour. the way he presented the material,... Bob guided our group to several "pods" where we sampled from 8 diverse ethnic food trucks. He told us a little history of the food truck phenomenon. The vendors/chefs were friendly and accommodating. The standout fare was from the Euro Trash truck. We were given a generous sampling of fishy chips (fried Spanish anchovies). They were moist on the inside... More

When in town for only a few days, join this tour if you want to become familiar with the history of Portland in a short period of time. The group of around 30 met in front of the Old Town Pizza. Since the tour group is limited to 20 participants, we split up into 2-groups and Patrick was our chosen guide.... More

Dear MrEdnWilbur, Thank you so much for your fabulous feedback! I would just like to clarify that, since there are multiple "Old Town Pizza" locations in Portland, that this tour departs from the one on 226 NW Davis St, at the old Merchants Hotel building. I would also point out that the tour is designed to take two hours, but... More

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide (forget his name, but from Boston) was excellent. He was funny, engaging and full of interesting information about the places we visited. We felt like we really got our monies worth and certainly came away satisfied with all the offerings we sampled. It was fun to get some behind the scenes moments in... More

Really great guide (Brooke) who had lots of information about history, architecture, and the 'Portland' way of doing things! For first time visitors, this is definitly the best way to start your visit. More

Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. He shared some of his favorite tidbits and got us to interact with each other by asking us questions. We learned a great deal about the city. Especially enjoyed the emphasis on alternative transportation, like skateboard and bike lanes that really stand out. More

We don't usually do organized tours of any type, but decided to give the Epicurean tour a try. We were fortunate that the tour group consisted of only 4 people plus our guide Alyssa, who was enthusiastic and had a great sense of humor. We knew the tour was going to be good when the first stop was a chocolate... More

The walking tour was a great experience. I don't usually opt for this type of thing, but I felt this would be a good basic run-down of the city. Our tour guide Ty was knowledgeable, easily approachable and enthusiastic. I learned some great tidbits about downtown that I don't think I would have found out without years of traveling to... More

I've been writing a lot of must see places in Portland. This is a must do. This was the last thing I stumbled onto when planning my trip and I'm glad I found it. Taking the underground tour here in the Seattle area years ago, I was curious about the Portland underground. Unfortunately there is a lot less of it... More

We took this tour just last weekend, and I think there are some good things, but some definite room for improvement. We stopped at a couple of "stores" for a couple of unique tastings (i.e. a salt, olive oil, and basalmic vinegar tasting). Very unique experiences and I very glad we got to do them but there was a bit... More

Dear George, Thank you for your feedback! We're pleased that you found the tour informative. I'm surprised that you weren't "wowed" by the stops on the tour, particularly some of the unique stops that you took the time to mention, such as the vinegar and salt tastings), but perhaps you're already more Epicurean than most. With regard to the lack... More
