of Yachats. Combo of sand and rocky outcrops. Not as crowded as Seaside-Cannon Beach to the North. Temperate. We go in summer spring fall and January, though not all in one year. Be sure to stop at Cape Perpetua Visitor Center, but miss the Sea Lion Caves...even if it's raining.

the whole coastline is just spectacular - 30 years since I was there, and it's as beautiful as I remembered!

Loved it. Make sure you take a light jacket....can be cool and windy at times but still was amazing!! The beaches go on forever and are quiet.

This is some of the most spectacular coast line in all of Oregon. Amazing vistas and pounding surf. Wonderful beach and trail walks abound.

We drove the coast from Florence to Newport with many, many stops on the way..including Cape Perpetua, Devils Churn, Cooks Chasm, The Interpretive Center, Yachats Village and various other viewpoints. They all have their special attributes that make this section of Oregon very hard to beat and we have only driven the south coast so far on our trip to... More

There is nothing quite as beautiful as the Oregon Coast. The views are spectacular. Lots of places to eat or take a picnic lunch to one of the pull-offs. You'll enjoy your day.

A wonderful place to sit, walk or just ponder. Bring a raincoat or at least a wind proof jacket, even in summer.

The walk along the coast is awe inspiring, the noise and spray from the sea is breath taking, trying to capture it on video or photo is almost impossible, the real thing is a must.

Yachats is a fun town to visit. People are very laid back. There is a nice path along the coast at the north end of town. lots of the more common agates can be found on the gravel beaches.
