Take your time, relax, and soak up the atmosphere. Just sit in the museum and crypt area and let your mind wander wherever it wants to go. Very peaceful and spiritual. Staff and especially the gift shop staff are helpful and friendly. Hint: When buying a gift leave the small amount of change to be returned for the mission--You won't... More

This tranquil sanctuary houses the tomb of Saint Katharine Drexel and a museum with artifacts from her life amid beautiful, peaceful surroundings. You could spend the better part of a day walking the grounds, praying and meditating. The Sisters and the people who staff the shop are wonderfully kind and helpful. If you're in the Philadelphia area, this is a... More

This shrine is a beautiful, peaceful retreat to go to visit and pray. The chapel is magnificent. The gift shop has really cute items reasonably priced. The outside grounds are nice. The history behind this saint makes you really think about your faith.

There is meaningful history here, and you don't have to be Catholic to appreciate it. It's well-worth visiting the beautiful campus and learning about Mother Catherine and the work she did. I took visitors from out of town here and they enjoyed the experience.
