This was a nice little zoo. Lots of greenery/planters. My 7 year old loved the play area. Plenty of benches. It wasn't spotless, but was clean enough. Nice half a day.

This zoo was small, but wonderful, from the petting zoo to the other exhibits. Our favorite was the giraffe who had a great sense of humor, but the Rhinos, the Gator, the Bears, and the baby ducks swimming with the 2 foot long koi were all great too. For a city the size of Erie this is a super little zoo. Most cities this size don't even have zoos anymore, Erie has kept this wonderful zoo which is in first class condition just perfect for several hours in the afternoon, it's a wonderful example that shows small towns can still keep this type attraction if they choose too....

The Erie Zoo is a great family spot. They have animals of course, and also interactive activities going on all the time. A quaint train ride for people of all ages is available during the summer. In late October they have zoo boo and many fun activities.

We have had an Erie Zoo membership for years and my granddaughters, now 6 and 11, love to go to this zoo. Favorite exhibits include the orangutan family, siamangs, the lemurs, the polar bear, naked mole rats, the sand cat, the giraffes, jaguars, tigers, and even the swans and the chickens. The train ride is always a special highlight too....

There were several zoo volunteers near each...
