This is one of our favorite places to go on a hot day, or just to get away for a few hours. The view is spectacular. There are places to picnic and on hot days, take a dip in the river. Just keep in mind it is always cooler by 5+ degrees here. Also there are walking and riding trails.... More

Stayed in one of the rustic cabins in the park. Had a wood furnace, electric range and oven, and small refrigerator/freezer, along with 2 double-sized bunks, plus a table and a couple of chairs and shelving. Bathhouse with flush toilets, showers, and "laundry" sink for washing dishes just steps away. If you like to camp, and your spouse's idea of... More

Needing to breath some fresh air, my husband and I loaded the car and drove 4 hrs north to World's End SP. Since it was mid April, the park still had a winter feel since nothing had even started to bloom. I was fine with that I just wanted to get out if the house. We managed to find some... More

This is a great place to swim -- there was no-one here during a summer mid-week visit. The dog was not happy that she could not join us on the beach....

As a frequent flyer of Promised Land State Park, my boyfriend and I decided to try somewhere new one weekend when the cabins at PLSP had been booked up. We happened upon this place, and it is now our new favorite winter getaway. The cabins are beautifully maintained, the views are unbeatable. Both cabins we stayed in were right on... More

And most of the folks who go there are ill-equipped to be hiking (sneakers, sandals) - if you can deal with the 'city folks' coming to the country, it's ok, but we found them to be a pain

So scenic and wonderful. We love just hanging out on the rocks by the water. Good for kids - lots to do.

I've been visiting this state park since before I was born (literally). The cabins are in their own circle of the park. Ask for one the fronts the creek. My favorite hiking trail has always been the High Rock Trail which starts near the creek on the cabin side and ends by the swimming area. Another nice trail is the... More
