Where do I start, the staff were extra helpful and polite, I was booked on the tour but hadnt time for lunch so the kitchen sorted me out with a quick pasty, something to line the stomach. The tour was very informative and the tour guide Ann was very knowledgeable and kept the group entertained throughout. Then on to the... More

We really enjoyed our visit around the brewery, arriving on spec and being able to book a couple of places on the next tour (3pm). We were initially shown around the museum, where a brief history was given before being shown around the brewery proper by a very informative and pleasant guide (called Nick), The tour costs £8 pp and... Off we went on brewery tour...but first a lovely lunch in the cafe attached, really nice food. The tour was informative and interesting but I should mention that for anyone who is older or has any difficulty walking it would have been quite difficult as there were a lot of stairs. As I don't drink beer the tasting did not... More

We recently attended with the hope of going around the brewery on a tour unfortunately these were all full but we got to look in the museum where you can see over the bottling part of the brewery. We then had a pint and snack in the bar, both were very good. Managed to but a few (ahem!) beers in... More

Great staff. Great food. Great history. What more needs to be said? We visited initially to buy a few Cornish beers for a friend. Had a quick look around the museum while we're were there and the food smelled so good we went back the next day for lunch! A worthwhile visit if nearby

Had a lovely tour round the brewery, people who work there were very friendly and informative. Lots of lovely samples as well as being given a couple of tokens so that you could sample a free pint! Had a lovely meal there as well! A MUST visit if in Cornwall or St Austell!

Fantastic morning out to this place and even though they were not brewing on the day we went there was still a lot to see. Even interesting for none drinkers (I'm pregnant so couldn't take part in the tasting at the end but could exchange free drink tokens for coffees and soft drinks) the staff here deserve a special mention... We went round in a small group, the guide was very informative and keen to answer any and all of our questions. We certainly enjoyed the tasting at the end and we decided to stay for something to eat as none of us had to rush off. What a great decision, the food was terrific not too expensive, very tasty and large... More

We have been to other breweries, and the process is the same basically, but the history here is amazing and interesting. Pippa was a brilliant host and was full of joy, information and zeal.

Brilliant. Good beer, music and food. A great night for £10. An experience worth doing and all for charity
