What an interesting and well run garden. There is something for everyone from the jungle to the vegetable garden.

The other half had always wanted to go to The Lost Garden and the opportunity came up last week. We were lucky to get a dry day which made for a comfortable visit.
I think a lot depends on where you come from and whether you are in the vicinity of woodlands. Where we come from there are woodlands within...

Impressed with the size of the venue. When you look at the old pictures of the dereliction you get a sense of the amount of work that has been done to restore the gardens. Also on show are all the old tools used on site a potted history of life and times on an estate at the turn of the...

Our favourite place of our holiday, gorgeous stunning gardens, a very old world feel to the place, wildlife areas, great cafe and places to eat, plus a great gift shop. Super day out and we will come back this year
We decided to walk there from Mevagissey, in the drizzle... The walk is somewhat circuitous, to say the least. We went in May, when the rhododenrons and azaleas were at their best, but here is a lot to see at any time of the year
Where to start? One of the most amazing sites to see in the UK, it's difficult to properly get across just how impressive these gardens are, from the traditional stately home style gardens to the sprawling almost tropical jungle with winding paths in and amongst the trees.
There are various sculptures scattered around the site which are all worth tracking...

Take a day and go there. Weather doesn't matter, as the gardens and plants are so fascinating. There is bound to be a plant, a garden or a vista that will be special to every visitor. Practical gardening information, wonder and inspiration are there in equal measure. Children will love the jungle boardwalk!
There is so much to enjoy here; the extensive garden with its many features - alpine ravine, enormous walled vegetable garden, grotto area, flower garden, restored working areas and yards - and that's just parts of the 'garden'. When you add in the valley that constitutes the 'Jungle' and the woodland walk (which we didn't get to do) this is...
