Hawk Mountain is a fun place to do some easy hiking and see some great scenery. There are several lookout points. The scenery is beautiful. The north look out has lots of rocks to sit on once you get there. Bring some water and a snack with you, because after the 1 mile hike there, you will probably be a... More

A great location defining the beginning (or end) of the Appalachian mountain. Amazing amounts of birds migrate through this airway yearly. Bring your best camera and binoculars.

Beautiful bird and educational sanctuary! Have been there 20 or more times and always different from winter to spring summer and fall. Put on excellent talks and demos for all ages. MUST SEE if in Berks County!

My family and I went here every year for 10 years until we moved farther away but I still wish I could be there every October to see the migration of thousands of raptors in flight. If you go here October - November you will see many many types of raptors and hundreds of them soaring in the skies above... More

Hawk Mountain is a wonderful place to climb, sit and watch hawks play with the wind and thermals, have a picnic, enjoy the view and just be at peace with the world for a bit.

We have driven over Hawk Mountain numerous times but this was the 1st time I actually took the tour of the building. The sites are amazing. We went to the River of Rocks which is a hike to get to. Best advice is to wear hiking boots/shoes. It's beautiful there. Difficult to do with a group of 4th graders but... More

well worth the long hike! we always get lost hiking, though - try to find a map from somewhere! Climb down the rocks at the top and there is a cave you can climb into if you bring a flashlight!

Breathtaking scenary with trails that you can easily hike with your 3 year old, yet others prove to be more challenging. Everywhere you look there is beauty and pure nature to take in. We've seen hawks, Golden Eagles, and even a Bald Eagle! Well worth the trip and an afternoon outdoors.
