A great location defining the beginning (or end) of the Appalachian mountain. Amazing amounts of birds migrate through this airway yearly. Bring your best camera and binoculars.

Beautiful bird and educational sanctuary! Have been there 20 or more times and always different from winter to spring summer and fall. Put on excellent talks and demos for all ages. MUST SEE if in Berks County!

Hawk Mountain is a wonderful place to climb, sit and watch hawks play with the wind and thermals, have a picnic, enjoy the view and just be at peace with the world for a bit.

well worth the long hike! we always get lost hiking, though - try to find a map from somewhere! Climb down the rocks at the top and there is a cave you can climb into if you bring a flashlight!

Breathtaking scenary with trails that you can easily hike with your 3 year old, yet others prove to be more challenging. Everywhere you look there is beauty and pure nature to take in. We've seen hawks, Golden Eagles, and even a Bald Eagle! Well worth the trip and an afternoon outdoors.

learned about the different birds of prey and their travels. experienced an owl class and was able to see her close up. will go again this summer. my husband took the school kids there on several trip.
