Haven' t been in a while, but it is easy to lose ones way in this old park! It is set in the middle of Pittsburgh's East End and offers so much for the hiker, dog walker and birdwatcher. Homewood Cemetery is easily accessed from this park. For a good, hearty hike, Frick Park is one of the best. Wear... More

I love living down the street from Frick Park! It's great for a nature hike, taking your dog to the dog park or just lounging around enjoying the scenery! There are areas of it that could use some work, but it's not bad!

I recently went to Frick Park dog park on a warm day in December. It was a lot of fun, and also walked my dog in other areas and there are many dogs within the dog park and in the park in general and all are well-behaved and controlled by their owners. Highly recommend.

Even us Pittsburger's don't go there unless forced to by living in the inner city--not always safe-few walking trails-but a lot of bike trails--terrain not too level

This is a gem. There are extensive walking trails, where you can hike for hours (OK, maybe just a couple of hours) and forget you're in the middle of the city. For folks with digs (I'm not one), check out Hot Dog Dam .. a closed-off area where dogs can frolic in a shallow stream. They clearly love it.

I use to play here as a kid but the asphalt at that time really hurt when you fell off the swing or slide. Thanks goodness they now use recycled shredded tire because obviously it is much softer on the tooshie!

Few cities can boast of a large park in its middle like this. One has a feel of being way out in nature. Check out the nearby Frick Art Museum and the Homewood Cemetery.

I loved taking pictures at the Wild Flower Reserve, hiking on the trails, going paddle boating, and swimming at the beach (which had really good cheeseburgers at their concession stand!) I plan on going camping there next year.

A beautiful park filled with things to do for all ages. Also pet friendly, I love the dog park. On the website you can find trails marked with levels of difficulty for hiking or biking. I recommend looking at the map prior to visiting due to how big the park is. And there are different entrances. Overall gorgeous environment

I walked from the park entrance on Beechwood Boulevard down to the Monongahela river and back -- about 6 miles. Very nicely maintained trails throughout the park.
