Famous campus, very cool to see in person. Not many tours drive through it. It would have been neat to see students as I was there during a break.

Have visited several times and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Charleston to take an hour and walk the grounds. The Chapel is awesome and the school is steeped in History. Friday afternoon parades are always great.
Just riding by the athletic field and barracks areas, you can feel the military presence here, in and around Charleston
The Citadel is a beautiful campus and steeped in tradition. The cadets were well groomed, impeccably dressed, and very polite. We visited some of the buildings on campus and later attended a Citadel baseball game in Riley Park. Wonderful day!

We were so lucky. Arrived at The Citadel right after all the cadets got into formation for graduation practice on Wednesday, May 1st. Got wonderful video (with the music) of the practice - major highlight of our trip. It gave me goosebumps!

Visit on Friday afternoon during the school year for a "Parade" - the weekly parade by all the cadets complete with bagpipes and all the ritual of the military corps.

There is a cohesive feel to all the buildings which primarily surround a large green quad called Summerall Field. We would have liked to see the facilities inside the...
