We enjoyed walking through the 5 Points area. There are great places to eat and shop. We disliked the parking meters, because we never have any loose coins.

I spent one night in Five Points with my brothers and their girlfriends. We started early by going to eat in the area which was pretty good, then we went to several different bars. It's not really my scene but it's great for college students who live around the area. Every one I met, whether they worked in the area...

Good place for lunch and a haircut. Go to Papa Jazz. Based what I've heard and read about the night life I wouldn't risk it late evening or after hours.
This place is nasty and dirty. It has started going down hill and there is always bad stuff going on down there. You wouldn't catch me in five points if you paid me a million dollars!
This is Five Points -- I mean, if you are looking for a great college bar scene, it is here. Also, for those of us no longer in college, Five Points has several great resturants as well as places for the rest of us to drink as well!
Five Points has a chance to be a very promising, quaint part of Columbia but it has failed. Miserably. During the day there are all kindsof window shopping to be had but when the sun goes down, the gangsters come out to play. Do not go unless you want to deal with college kids that do not know how to...

There are more bars than people it seems. This area has two faces during the day, it is trendy boutique shops then at night its party party party let's get the college student drunk. Which explains why there has been an increase in violence in the area, that and because the area borders the ghetto.
I honestly feel like its a place for college students or 18-23 group there is so much stupidity that happens down there sometimes cops are always all over the place...ugh irritating but they have some good drink specials
A few of Nikki's co-workers and friends met in Five Points at a restaurant, I forgot the name but we dined out on the rooftop.
I grew up in Five Points and while it retains the charm of the past it has evolved into something even better! Granted, there have been growing pains but the good far outweighs the shortcomings. You'll love the atmosphere of what used to be combined with a growing choice of restaurants and shops - still love it!
