If you are into History, particularly South Dakota History, then this is a must stop. Include a film, museum, bookstore, and live dig area.

This place was very historic and interesting to anybody of any age. The specialty team was very informative and outgoing.

Very educational for all ages ... great destination for school field trips, too. I've taken several classes there.

Fascinating tour over the archiogical (sp?) digs. The re-creation of the huts in the main lobby was very interesting also. We by-passed the Corn Palace on this trip to catch the Prehistoric Indian Village.

First impression was to turn around and leave when we crossed a small waterway to get to the museum. The stench from the water ( I think it was the water) was horrible. Nice stop for the kids. keep them engaged. if you or they like digging up old stuff people left behind and became buried, you will like this.
