There’s plenty to see here. The aquarium occupies two buildings with multiple levels. The exhibits feature all different types of fish in their native habitat, and several “touch tanks” where you can actually touch them. There’s a butterfly pavilion where butterflies fly freely and one even landed on my granddaughter’s finger, much to her delight. To exit the aquarium, you... More

Liked unusual aquatic animals, large tank with sharks, etc. in natural setting. Exotic sting rays quite unusual and interesting. Guides knowledgeable and helpful. Liked butterflys, birds, otters, penguins.

Really good experience. Try and get your tickets with discounts before you go so you don't have to stand in the long line and pay full price. The walk through the butterfly garden is truly an experience you won't want to miss during your visit.

we needed to do something and had not been here for a long time. We had a good time and even met some family unexspected. It was easy to get around in the building. It did not feel crowded even when there was several school trips going on.

Great for kids. The Ocean Journey was much smaller than the River Journey side. That would be the only fault.

The fresh water aquarium is very well laid out with ramps from the top of the building to the bottom. The displays of fish are well done with a cross section of not just Teenessee fish, but frsh water fish across the world. The aquariums look well cared for. The ocean world was good but I like the Atlanta or... More

Coming from a state that has great wildlife museums and aquariums, I was just hoping I'd see some things I hadn't. This place did NOT disappoint. Every exhibit was interesting and engaging. My family and I went for my birthday, and I'm so glad we did. Just don't get caught on the wrong side of the aquarium after the doors... More

The aquarium was wonderful. We were there on a Friday and there was a field trip going on at the same time. They were aweful! Rude children! Several times we were cut in front of or pushed out of the way. We also stopped a few times and stood back for them to clear out so we could attempt to... More

I have high expectation when I visit an aquarium. The Chattanooga Aquarium is about the Tennessee River from beginning to end. Very informative and well laid out. Easy to walk around and great signage to help you along the way.
