Just minutes south of Nashville, Franklin is often cited as one of the most beautiful downtowns in the U.S. For years visitors have come for the charm, often unaware of the rich past that lies just beneath the town's quaint Victorian surface. Franklin on Foot's enthusiastic, knowledgeable guides will make your visit to historic Franklin an unforgettable experience. Franklin on Foot's tours include the Classic Franklin, Civil War in Franklin, Grave Matters in the Cemetery, and for fans of evening activities, the Haunted Franklin, Ghosts of the Battlefield at the Lotz House and Murder and Mayhem Tours. Bicycle tours and rentals are available from March-November and our Southern Style food tours allow visitors to savor the flavors of Franklin and enjoy history at the same time. Most tours are available daily by advance reservation; some tours have minimums. Just call and see how flexible and accommodating we can be.

Visited Nashville recently and decided to go exploring in Franklin. What a charming little town. Especially loved the shop of items made locally! Very walkable city. Look for the parking garage by the town hall for parking.

Although I'm not much of one for believeing in ghosts, this walking tour was great fun. Loved the stories and really enjoyed walking around Frankin at night. My mom and my 11 yr old son enjoyed it too!

If you like history or just small old town surroundings, Franklin is the place to visit. Downtown is small enough to walk and shop and eat. Surrounding areas have many historic places to visit.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the fascinating ghost tour last night. We had such a great time at the St. Augustine Ghost Tour but the story telling today/tonight was really amazing and kept our interest throughout!

Markers along the walk made it easier to hit all places. Franklin is a very friendly, quaint town. Great for history and shopping.

My two friends and I did the food tour with Margie. We had a great time. The food was amazing. It was so much fun we would do it again. We were in a tour with 4 other people. It was great finding out where everyone was from. We ate at 6 different places. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming....
