Our tour guide, J. T., was knowledgeable above expectations and brought the history of the house and how it related to the Battle of Franklin home in a way that kept you hanging on every word. A definite site for anyone visiting Nashville and the surrounding area. This tour was the third of the three Franklin Battle homes that we...

The people running the Lotz House were much friendlier and more accomodating than some of the houses we toured in Franklin. You can tell they are very enthusiastic about where they are working. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and made us feel the emotions of a family caught in the middle of a war they were not involved in. The...

I have visited all 3 Civil War houses in Franklin, and this was my favorite! J.T. was our tour guide, and he did a swell job informing us about the Lotz family! I couldn't imagine taking this tour with anyone else!
History comes alive with an outstanding tour guide JT Thompson. Our group ranged in age from 18 to 81 and thoroughly enjoyed ourelves. Yes, even our 18 year old! JT's personal touch weaving mulitple stories of the battle, the family and the house made us "feel" what the Lotz family were facing during 1864 and beyond. We laughed, we cried...

Grace ann was a knowledgeable and authoritative guide. She brought the history of the place alive in a moving account of the poor Lotz family who were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
We toured this house as part of an all day tour which also included the nearby Carter House and Carnton Plantation. Our tour guide, JT, was extremely knowledgeable about the Lotz family as well as the Battle of Franklin. What struck us the most was how emotionally invested he was in the family- you could almost feel their heartache and...

We really enjoyed this historical tour, it was very thorough and informative. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend to anyone interested in Civil War history.
The tour was excellent. JT made the Battle of Franklin come alive in the Lotz family history. He is the best tour guide. He made you feel like you were there in the time. Thank you very much
Visited the Lotz house with the value ticket (Carnton Plantation, Carter House, and Lotz). Tour was excellent (tour guide Sam) and interesting story behind the Lotz family. Would have been a 5/5, but a few awkward moments bumped it down to a 4.
