We are definintely history buffs, and I think the seed was planted waay back during elementary school reading about the Civil War and early 1800's pioneers. the fairgrounds area must, beautiful, clean and what a learning experience for adults and children alike, of how life was lived years ago! Great setup of an old village....HISTORIC!!! The Wilson country fair in August is one of the best!!!! Great food, great people and wonderful overall visit!
The buildings that were moved to Fiddler's Grove from around the Wilson County area are authentic. There's much to be learned about their history. I enjoy the walking guided tours of the grove and I have also gone through by wagon during an event there.
Pioneer village is often over looked possibly because of its location within the fairgrounds but it is worth the visit. The Wilson County Fair board has done a wonderful job of setting up this little village. During the fair each year they have many people working it such as the blacksmith. It is a great family friendly place to visit.
Played music there with Fast Forward a great Bluegrass band. You need to visit Lebanon and listen to the music during the fair !
Have been here several times during the fair. Went for the ghost walk last fall which our family really enjoyed. The old buildings were a great place to hear old tales and ghost stories about Lebanon Tn. Great plac any time of the year.
This is a historical village that you can walk through. During the county fair it is a real working village with people dress for the time. Each month a special activity is presented at Fiddlers Grove. I would recommend going Christmas also. They have a drive through Christmas Event.

The rest of the year they have different exhibits on... More
