I wanted to see where the likes of Elvis, Roy Orbison, Gerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, (to name but a few) had cut their first records. I was not disappointed. This is a very short tour but if you are visiting Memphis it is well worth the stop! Our tour guide was too cute with lots of energy and information.

One can easily envision Elvis walking in the front door to record some music. Sun studio looks just like it did at the time and amazingly is still used by musicians. Many iconic artifacts to see.

Didn't have to book our tour, just turned up a bit before. Lots of daily tours available and they certainly pack them in. Was a bit rushed, but our tour guide was brilliant and really brought the studios to life. I found the whole thing very moving with some hairs up on the back of the neck moments to think... More

A really was a good trip. Taken there from Beale Street by free shuttle. Soon on a trip around by very likeable guide who obviously enjoyed his work. All seemed the same as in old pics, as if time had stood still,,,,lots to buy but no one pushed anything. Well worth a visit, in fact essential !!
