A really fun thing to watch. The duck master starts with rolling out the red carpet and taking the lift out of service in readiness for the ducks at about 10.45 he then tells you about the tradition of the ducks and a little of the history of the ducks he disappears to the lift and when he reappears the... This is a real treat to see you will want to at least go a half hour before the time so you can have a great seat. It is called the marching of the ducks they do this everyday at 11:00 am and 5:00 pm on the dot. 365 days a year. The peabody hotel is a beautiful hotel and... More

We went for the 'famous' duck parade at 11 am in the foyer area, where the fountain is. It pays to be there for about 10.15 am to get a seat near the front. There is a very nice Deli inside, for a snack and coffee to keep you going. The parade is hosted by the resident Duck Master, who... More

We joined the crowds to watch the ducks walk to the fountain! It was difficult to hear the Duck Master's entire spiel, but we learned a lot from it. We got some terrific video of the elevator's descent, the doors opening, and the ducks walk to the fountain!

It was cool to see the ducks there, but it takes a long time for a very basic show. The guy at the mic just keep talking and talking. And talking. The hotel gets a little crowd to watch this, in my opinion, I would go just if it were not that crowd.

Apparently, in order to be a really cool old school hotel, you have to have an animal mascot and tradition that goes back in history a really long time. My first experience with this was The Jefferson in Richmond, Virginia who used to keep gators in their fountains ans still uses them as a logo to this day. In Memphis,... More

Arrived in the most beautiful Peabody hotel Stunning. Its somewhere we would live to stay one day. The ducks were already down in the fountain. We just sat there and watched taking it all in. The staff did not even ask us to move. What a fabulous place. Stunning

We stopped at the Peabody and the well publicized duck march. What's the fuss? Beautiful historic hotel. Nice place to have a drink.

I really enjoyed watching the duck parade and having tea in this lovely hotel. It was also great to look in Lanskys. But I was appalled to see, on sale in one of their shops, the most amazingly tacky souvenir I have ever seen in the form of a black jumpsuited figure with a duck's head and blue (suede?) shoes....
