I opted for the full package - monorail ride to the island and admission to the museum in addition to the riverwalk. I thought all of it was fun and it was well worth the money to me. I spent at least two hours there and it was a nice balance to the night life.

This is a Memphis must if you have a day when you prefer to be outdoors and enjoy leisurely walking. The topographical map of the river and descriptions as you walk it are a great way to understand the history and settlements along its course. If you see classes of students on a field trip, don't consider it a problem,...

We loved walking through the Mississippi River model from where it starts to where it ends. It's one of the most educational museum's we have ever been in about the Mississippi River. It was raining on and off the day we went, but was still very enjoyable.
I went with my son on a field trip to this museum. It was very boring and needs upgrading seriously. The only part that the children seemed to like was the replica of the steam boat.
I wouldn't pay to get in, but nice to visit since it is free. The kids enjoy the river walk. There are events throughout the year that can be fun. They used to have concerts, but those are rare now.
This would be a nice place to visit for a family or a bunch of friends who are visiting Memphis,I would recommend that you stop by and take a walk look at some Memphis history and put your feet in the water.
Really neat little place. I learned alot about MS and it was just a fun day. Its not anything I would ever do again I dont think. But its definately fun to do once.
A nice way to spend some time, it covers much of the regions river history. Lots of cool displays, and being in a replica of a riverboat just adds it.
A super fun way to learn about the river and it's history. The river walk is so much fun and so unique. The museum is very impressive with great information on the history of the river and Memphis. And a great ride on a fun trolley to get there. Very friendly and nice staff.
