I drove through the park as that is all I had time for. It was very nice and just driving through was relaxing. Would love to see it at Christmas with the trees are all lit up.
Beautiful and picturesque. lakes and picnic areas, jogging, biking baths. theres an american buffalo conservation area. birds of different kinds flit by. Definitely worth a trip.
it was great! there was placing for picnics and playing outdoor games. Its very family friendly and pet as well. The horse backing was a lot of fun. We went on this nice trail and they gave us horses that fit out personality!!!! Cant wait till rain clears up.
I came to memphis from massachusettes for a cervical cancer walk, I met great friends on this trip, and loved shelby farms park. I plan on returning in 2014. The park is beautiful, has everything. so much to see and do. Very clean park.
no dislikes, ran the earth day 5k, well put on, and lots of fun. trails were well maintained, and lots of parking, nice little lakes to run by
Loads to do - hiking, biking, running trails, kite flying, fishing, people and dog walking - and the best is the off the leash dog park - a huge expanse of free space with 2 lakes for doggie paradise - my dogs and children come home tired and happy!
There are paddle boats, kayaks, horses and other activities. We mainly used the kids discovery play area. It has walkways that have vines growing over it. It bet it looks nice in the summer. The kids had fun trying out everything there. They will probably sleep well tonight.
A great place to enjoy outdoors, hiking, horseback, and more. For a private getaway, or family fun, it's a place to relax, or get your blood flowing.
There are lots of things to do at Shelby Farms, but we enjoy the off-leash area to run our large dogs. They can socialize with other dogs of all sizes, and we get in a good two mile hike ourselves. The new entry gates and fresh water "bowl" (shut off in winter) make it even nicer.
