We decided to take a family hike close to home (live in Franklin). We have heard the best kept secret around for parks was Radnor..we decided to go on Father's Day and it was just a peaceful and tranquil walk.. There are no runners, dogs, etc allowed.. Some of the trails are really easy but some that are in the woods... More

you always see deer, very flat walk around a quiet lake, nice for the kids! it can get a little long so bring some water and be prepared to take a few breaks!

I love this place. When I'm in need of some time in nature, I go here. The wildlife is quite astonishing, considering you're in the city. I always see turkeys, turtles, and deer. I've seen bald eagles too. Make sure you do the lake loop which goes through the forrest and not just the paved portion. Park off otter creek... More

Excellent walking/hiking for beginner to moderate hikers. The dirt path would provide difficult with recent rain but the day we went was sunny. It's a great park with trails around the lake that is shaded. Unlike most parks there are no pets allowed, no running and no picnicking. We saw 3 deer up close and a wild turkey :-)

Beautiful meandering trails of varying difficulty. Quiet but often quite crowded on weekends. Deer, owls - magical encounters with all kinds of wildlife are likely.

It's hidden among a city...I wouldn't go alone...too many paths that lead into the woods. They have a nice welcome center with bathrooms.

Radnor Lake is a hidden gem in a Nashville neighborhood. I hesitate to write this review as crowds would certainly disrupt the serene environment but it's just so beautiful. The walking paths are very well maintained. We usually choose the one that winds around the lake. Make sure that you are not so busy hiking that you miss the wildlife... More

My sister and I visited for a shirt hike on the park trails. They were well maintained and there are a variety of trails for different levels of challenge. It was a very peaceful way to spend a spring morning. We went on a weekday and there were. Fair number of people around. My sister told me that on weekends... More

We visited Radnor Lake State Park on a Sunday afternoon around 1:00pm. We entered the park from Granny White Pike, which is in a residential area, and there wasn't any signs off of the road marking the entrance to the park, so we did pass it once, and had to turn back around. It was a lovely park with various... More
