This is architecture at its finest. All the details they show you up close are wonderful. The park is a great place to picnic also.

Located in Centennial Park so if your at the park go ahead and check it out. Huge is the best word to describe this building. Great photo opts abound here. Beautiful older Greek replica located in awesome park setting. Check it out!
We visited as part of our road trip and were blown away by the sheer size of the place, it was very impressive, set in a lovely park with lots going on around it, there was even a wedding photo shoot going on when we were there.
Well worth the 6 dollars entrance fee, nice and cool inside, lots of...

If you love Greek architecture, going to the Parthenon is must on your trip. The paintings and sculptures depict what the fine buildings may have looked in Ancient Greece. Once a year, the Parthenon is open to the public free. The price of admission at other times is reasonable. Their gift shop has much to offer.
We stopped here because my kids both study ancient Greece at school and one of them is on the last book of the Percy Jackson series (the first book has a scene at the Nashville Parthenon), so I thought they'd be interested. They were less interested than I expected. They liked looking up at it and beholding Athena, and they...

I have always heard of the Parthenon, but never expected it to be as large as it was. It was a grand site to behold. My son loved it. He enjoyed comparing the inside to the movie Percy Jackson. Only thing that needs to change is the closing time. It closes way too early!
It wasn't our plan to visit this tourist stop but it happened to spring up at the Centennial park where we were for a Country Music marathon. The exhibits about the Exhibition of the late 1800's was interesting, the artwork a bit scary and the detail in the recreation of the Parthenon and Athena statue a highlight. A nice little...

Did not expect to find an exact replica of the Parthenon from Athens right in the middle of Nashville. They had signs everywhere explaining who each mythological figure was. Very good!
I visited the Parthenon when I was in Nashville. When I arrived, I was a little shocked because there wasn't much to it. I didn't get to go inside, because it was late in the day and it closes at 4:30pm. I walked around the building, looked at the columns, took a few pictures and admired at the architecture. That...

To be honest, we didn't know what to expect, but I know that I didn't expect the amateurish portrayal of Athena that is the centerpiece of the museum, nor did I expect the artwork in the front hall. I realize art is subjective, so it's just my opinion that the paintings were sub-standard at best. When all is said and...
