This is a very well publicized bar on the Broadway strip. Always crowded and feels a bit like a college party. Felt more about the party than the music.

Lots of history here in Tootsies. Music, drinks, and history. What else do you need? Go to Tootsies and get a drink and listen to the music. Look around on the walls at the history. Many country stars came here while playing at the Ryman. It's at the backdoor so many went to drink while waiting to play there.

First night there, around 11 pm, we tried to squeeze inside and it was simply too crowded so the next day we returned around 4 pm and there was plenty of chairs. We saw Jake Maurer at Tootsies and had a BLAST! Jake puts on an awesome show...if you like live music you'll appreciate his talent and hard working attitude. Tootsies is a fun honky tonk, it blows the other "wanna-be's" on Broadway out of the water.

So much Country Music History hanging on the crowded walls it would take days to absorb it all. Go early in the day when it isn't so crowded to explore the 50+ years of history in this AWESOME Watering Hole. Live Music all day and night with no cover charge.

We stopped by here because it was "HIGHLY" "HIGHLY" recommended. Most of the patrons looked like tourist however, everyone was having a good time. The band was good and we had a good time.
