Perfect for a day trip from Houston/Katy, the drive up non-interstate highways in the Spring during Texas wildflower season is nearly thrilling enough. But the charming winery, tasting @ gift center are far above average for Texas. (Having plenty of experience with Napa, Sonoma, and many Tx Hill Country wineries, this European-inspired gem holds its own very well.) But then,... More

First let me say I have been in the hospitality profession for over 11 years with one of the worlds highest rated hotels and resorts. The service I received here went way above and beyond my expectations. I had made short plans to ask my girlfriend to marry me and luckily I chose this restaurant to do it. I called... More

Yes, we stayed there. The B&B was amazing! The wine tasting and wine tour was really something else. Messina Hof offers and shoes more then what I've witnessed in other tours and tastings. Who would have known...Texas wine is fantastic! Different varieties for all pallets and taste buds. Very knowledgable staff and friendly too...almost like friends, great friends who love... More

Beautiful Winery with knowleadgable people serving the tastings... outside patio and pond with around 250 turtles who loved to be feed.... and a fountain in the pond that makes the most wonderful relaxing sound. They all so have a bed and breakfast, we didn't stay but we will very soon. They also have Mystery Murder Theathers, tours, wine tastings,,, all... More

Loved this place. Here's why: * A wine tasting and tour is not at all expensive. $10 * Our tour guide, Doug, was interesting, friendly, polite, very knowledgable and just did an all-around great job. * I don't drink. At all. But they have sparkling grape juice that is like summer in a glass. Absolutely delicious. I tried a couple... More

Chose a beautiful day to make the trip from Houston. Disappointing on many levels. While the 10 or 25 tastings were extremely generous I should have been warned to buy less and split them. No way they were ever meant to be per person, causing much wasted wine. Second, while I pre reserved I was not advised that there is... More

Recently stopped here as part of a wine trail on a girlfriend road trip. The grounds are very pretty. The tasting provided was very nice and he complementary appetizer was very good (BBQ chicken sliders) the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Would like to go back and stay at the B&B and try the restaurant.

This place is a dump. Not only are their wines horrible but their "B&B" and so-called restaurant should be condemned by the health department. Don't go there is you value your health (much less your taste buds)

Wow, what a great Sunday brunch! We always enjoy visiting Messina Hof, tasting their excellent Texas wines, and dining in their restaurant. Last Sunday was certainly no exception. Over lunch we sipped on a bottle of Reserve Chardonnay and snacked on the Texas Cheese Plate. For our main course I had the Classic Shrimp Creole, which was absolutely amazing! My... More

The winery offers tours, classes, a restaurant, and bed and breakfast, and fun special events. The gift shop keeps me there for at least an extra hour. I never leave without at least a case or 2.
