I would hate for anyone to waste their time making aspecial trip to "see the Mandalay Canal." There is nothing worth seeing. Don't bother.

It is a pleasant walk around the water of the downtown area. Many people out walking and plenty of access to restaurants. Parking is free for a limited time. I didn't partake but gondola rides are available.

Quiet is usually just perfect for me, but the Mandalay Canals are so nice and ornate that it just seems wrong that the whole city doesn't congregate down there. There are some nice restaurants along the canal, but it doesn't seem that the shopping thrives at all. Go down to the Canals and let's bring more life to it!!!

my husband surprised me with a romantic gondola ride around the canal at sunset, was alot of fun, relaxing and romantic, they gave us chocolates and sparkling juice too!

It's a serene place in the middle of the business hustle and bustle. Be sure to check out the mustangs.

This canal has quite a bit of potential that they will hopefully one day tap. For now, it is a nice spot to walk until you run out of sidewalk, but you can circle back and enjoy the scenery.

Dennis was our gondola driver. He was so informative and made the evening super fun.

Beautiful Mediterrean style canals. I wish there was more restaurants, but then it would turn into a tourist trap. Very nice and quite!
