Location: Just outside the city limits. It is close enough to be reached without an out of the way drive. Parking: Paved. There are also a few trees that lean over some parking places so you can park in the shade on hot days. Parking is free. Admission: There is a cost. It is used to pay to maintain the... More

I got rained out, so had to rush through some of the trails, but overall it was a good experience. Would recommend going when the butterflies are there and plants are in bloom. Took a few great photos of nature. I loved seeing the animals the most!

I take my grandsons there. They love the dinosaurs. This is a great place to go do some hiking and see some animals, and just get out side.

This was our first visit and we throughly enjoyed this place! It is hard to believe this beautiful sanctuary is just outside city limits. Take your camera, lunch and lots of bottled water because there are so many walking / hikinig trails! Indoor museum, one on one specialty talks with staff and live animals, picnic areas, small animal exhibit -... More

The Heard is in a pretty setting that offers guided nature walks regularly and other activities. I highly recommend the Owl Prowl. This cost about $20, but we got to see several live raptors and a presentation, and then afterwards we went on a nice night hike around the Sanctuary looking for owls.

Took my 2 and 6 yr old to see the dinosaur exhibit. The indoor exhibits were interesting, and the trails kept the boys from getting bored. The Dinosaurs Live exhibit was a hit with the boys.

Been going to Heard Museum since we moved here in 1974 and have had a family membership for sometime. The grandkids love the place! Nature and wildlife exhibits are educational and fun. Hiking on the trails is good exercise. Special exhibits like Dinosaur Live are well done.

This is a very beautiful place to visit. Peaceful and relaxing plus good exercise. It seems every year they get cleaner and more fun stuff for the little ones. The little ones just have a blast running around in the fields.

We went to the Heard on a Field Trip and it was an average experience. The paths are not really stroller friendly and it would be difficult to hold the attention of smaller children.

We went to the Heard today. It was so much fun! They had a special exhibit with life-size animated dinosaurs along the walking trail. It was fantastic. Definitely exceeded my expectations. Our little one was thrilled with everything. Since it is winter, I did not expect to see birds, butterflies, or too much wildlife along the trail. It's just too... More
