Went to the Tyler Rose Gardens just to waste some time in my day. What a great surprise it was. I went during the month of September, so the rose bushes weren't fully bloomed. (Mid October is the time to go) It was so enticing to just grab a rose off the bush they we're beautiful! Parking was a bit... More
The Tyler Rose Garden is beautiful at any time of the year. I went in April of 2013, and it was just gorgeous! There were so many varieties of roses! SOOO many colors and shapes and sizes! and for me, as a photographer, it was a dream come true. Roses are my favorite flower, so I spent several hours photographing... More
We went by Tyler for a short visit and we've already recruited family to return to the gardens. They are absolutely breathtaking, and the garden layout reminded us of the Japanese Friendship Garden in San Jose, California, i.e., even a short visit produces a feeling of tranquility and that everything is right with the world. Seriously it's that gorgeous. It's... More
We decided to check the garden out thee day before I left. It's a pretty garden and perfect for a wedding. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Tyler and bored with the tons of strip malls in the area.
I have to admit I thought this would be a rather boring experience but was most surprised that it is indeed a very unqiue museum and gardens. The roses are amazing as is the Idea Garden with many different and unusual plants and ideas for your own landscaping. The museum is so full of memorabilia of the decades of Rose... More
We visited the Rose Garden after attending the Gun Show at the Convention Center. The gardens are really pretty. It was 100+ degrees today, so I am sure in the cooler weather the gardens are in full bloom and even more beautiful. Lots of fountains. There were two weddings there which would be a beautiful place to get married.
Although roses are the stars of this park, there are many other plant species here that are worth the look. Especially noteworthy is the Master Gardener's Idea Garden that is just filled with interesting plants. The Rose Garden has fountains and ponds and plenty of places to have a pleasant picnic.
So many beautiful roses and other flowers. It was simply stunning. And free! We went early in the day because it was very hot and there was shade only in certain areas. If I lived here I would visit often. It was just gorgeous. There is a museum on site as well and for a small fee you can see... More
