I remember whan Okemo was a nice family run operation. It is now part of a conglomerate that has raised the prices every year so I will no longer go there. It is a popular place with great skiing but just not for me. And I am a local.

My girl liked the drive up the back hills and the hike to the summit and sit on the ski lift without having to be bogged down in snow equipment. Sometimes you forget that the mountains are just as fun in the spring as they are in the winter with 60" of base powder!

My family and I love to hit Okema at least once a season at the very least. With the amount of natural snow received, we were able to visit a few times this past winter and have a great time of the slopes each visit. This mountain is equipped with excellent friendly staff. The lift lines can be tough on holidays, but that is to be expected. The options for lunch are cafeteria style or a high end restaurant...no in between pub with music. If they added that, this would be the perfect place to ski.

Friendly crowd, clean lodge. This is one of the best mountains in VT for an intermediate to advanced skier/snowboarder. There are plent areas away from the base to go with shorter lines.

We traveled to Okemo from NJ for a long President's Weekend. Our family was parents, nephew 15, daughter 11, and daughter 6. Everyone had a good time. We skied intermediate and beginner terrain.
