I only wish I had brought a picture of my cat for the memorial chapel. This is a sweet tribute to anyone who had a strong connection to their cat or dog.
I read about the Dog Chapel online and knew that I would love it-- a small country church devoted to canines. There was no heat in the chapel. So bring winter gear if you want to stay a while. Such a fun visit. Looking forward to returning with our dog. We have vacationed in Vermont for years and visited all the "usual tourist places" so this was a fun find.

Worth the trip with your pups! My dogs, husband and I had so much fun hiking the trails, visiting the beautiful dog chapel and touring the gallery. The dogs basically had the run of the place....would visit again! Perfect spot for fall leaf viewing. Thank you Gwen and staff for allowing us on your grounds- keep up the great work!
Up the hill from the Dog Chapel are acres and acres of open space, ponds, and trails where dogs and humans alike can roam and run and breathe fresh mountain air while looking out over the farms in the valley. If you are feeling sad, you will be rejuvenated by this place, and if you just go to give your...

On the grounds is dog memorabilia of all sorts and the kids had fun spotting it all. Dogs are very welcome, and encouraged to be off leash, even...

If you love dogs, this is a must place to visit. The dog chapel and its remembrance wall is well-worth the visit, but there is so much more to see and do.
