Olde timey theater in the heart of Ghent. One big screen. Great movies, documentaries, and often there are events with discussion afterwords. Nice snack bar with the usual plus juices, baklava, baked goods. Friendly. A neighborhood treasure. Walking distance from many restaurants on Colley Ave.

A fantastic local theater! It's on Colley in Ghent, right next to some great restaurants and bars. I go to the movies all the time, and the Naro is one of the few theaters I've ever been to that gets me as excited as I was going to the movies as a little kid.

I love seeing films at the Naro. Naro audiences value movies and understand how to behave in a movie theater. No one talks, or has their cell phone on, or texts during the movie. If it is a particularly good film, they applaud. I also love their popcorn. It tastes so much better than popcorn you buy at chain theaters.... More

Really, this is where you go to see the best in film. The balcony is cozy, the seats everywhere cushy, and the popcorn is fantastic. Also available are brownies and baked goods and all sorts of fun stuff.

While my wife goes here more often than any other theatre, I go just occasionally but enjoy each time. Its in the heart of Ghent, Norfolk's neighborhood that feels like the best of a college scene with cafe dining, bars, and this establishment as its center. I've notice that there are far more grey heads here at least if its... More

This old theater in the heart of the Ghent section of Norfolk, has been turned into a venue for band performances. It is close to MacArthur Mall and many restaurants. It is small enough that you can really see the performers and mingle with friends.

The Naro is on Colley Avenue and shows indie movies that I have never heard of, but end up being amazing! I love the atmosphere of the old theater and the tickets are only $9 on the weekends. Great place for a romantic date night especially if you sit on the balcony.

Watch carefully the reviews. They have some true delights - Charlie Chaplain with a real piano player, the original Phantom of the Opera with a live piano player was out of this world. They play an unusual mix - some of the best films that I have seen have been here. Parking a little tight.

Located in the Ghent section of downtown Norfolk on Granby St, it's in the middle of a thriving restaurant district. We've been enjoying their eclectic selection of first run and artsy movies for over 30 years. If you've grown up with the big stadium seating theaters, you probably won't like this but giving something new a try might just turn... More

Right in the middle of historic Ghent neighborhood surrounded by great restaurants. The Naro shows movies that you will not see in the big theaters. It has an eclectric menu of movies. Check out their website for their calendar.
