Played last Friday and this was my 2nd visit. The course was in great shape with manicured fairways and excellent tee boxes. The greens looked very lush, but perhaps over watered. The fringes were also too spongey and any effort to run the ball was caught up and held - tip to anyone fly the ball all the way to... More

We played here in mid May. We both thought the course was in very good shape and the layout was forgiving. We played at 830am on a Tuesday so the course was wide open. I suggest playing earlier if you are a 2some.

After playing other golf course in the morning we arrived to Santana G&CC for lunch. First we did check-in and paid for golf and buggies. In restaurant we ordered and mentioned our tee time was one hour. We had a two course meal and when finish our lunch buggies was ready to take of. Starter at 1. Hole was very... More

A group of 6 played this course twice in the last week and really enjoyed the experience. We played it for the first time last year. Off the back tees we managed to shoot a few off our handicaps, not bad. The condition of the course was very good, the greens a bit "grainy" but fair. We felt the main... More

Apart from being a great golf course, it is probably the most friendliest club I have visited in Spain. We had managed to move tee times from the day before as the weather wasn't great, got a nice reception from the pro shop and greeted by the golf manager who offered us to play another day if we couldn't get... I have been travelling to the Costa Del Sol to play golf for the last 13 years and have played this course many times. It is without doubt in my top five of courses i have played in the area. Always in excellent condition and easy enough to walk if you dont want to take a buggy. It is open... More

I recently played Santana and I wasn't very impressed. There was 6 of us playing, so we booked 2 tee times well in advance. After we paid about £75/ £80 (buggy included) we were told that we had to play a 4 ball and the other 2 join up with a couple, he played off 28, she played off 36... More

There are many excellent golf courses on the Costa del Sol, with a good choice around the Mijas, La Cala area, but our favourite has to be Santana, a little more expensive than the rest but not by very much, it is a true test of golf for low handicap players, with plenty of space for the club golfer to...
