the tour guides were such fun, the valley views were spectacular, the speedboat was scary but exscilerting, the best bit was snorkling in the mangrov swamps..so clean with a mass of tropical fish

I had the pleasure of visiting my favorite hotel again in April ; As usual I stayed at the Melia Cayo Guillermo for 2 weeks, It was very good, I have no complaints. They have a new executive Chef, so the food has improved a great deal. However, this time I went further afield to Moron, the nearest city to...

Orlando was our guide and he was excellent. We got to see Moron on a horse and buggy tour, a boat cruise through the mangroves, a croc farm, a lunch at Rancho Palma, and a tour through Ciego de Avila.
it was nice to see the city, and the drive there was great! we also visited an alligator farm, and were supposed to visit a cigar factory but ran out of time, would likely be much better when you don't go as a school trip!
Was okay, too many people beggin and was annoyed could not shop quietly, i am glad i rented a car and did my own thing so we could leave on our own terms
Great excursion for the price.
Picked up at 8 am and drove to the Alligator farm. Great time.
Then across the man made causeway to Moron. Horse and carriage ride of the town and a stop at a place to listen to some Cuban music and a few drinks. Then 45 minutes in the town to site see and visit...

I like the variety of seeing new Moron by horse & buggy & then walking around the town yourself (very historic), seeing old Moron and then going for a boat ride through a lagoon and then for lunch. Nice mix. Tour guide very informative.
A most to do! The town of Moron have nothing to do with Varadero. If you want to merge your self with the real culture that's the place to go.
If you've seen a Cuban city already, you won't be impressed by Moron. But the Cuban lunch of pork and salads, etc was really delicious and the Mangrove tour in the lake was beautiful.
This bus trip from Cayo Coco included a powerboat ride thru the mangrove swamp (the best), tour of Moron (65,000 people), Ciego de Avila (pretty town), sugar cane mill (touristy, dancing, train ride) and an alligator farm (unbelievable).
Our guide was good in French and English and knew her stuff. She was congenial and helpful.
Everyone, young and old, enjoyed...
