The owners of this place have combined modern movie theater experience with downtown space. We miss their original "Indie" culture, but they do host some special movies along with their mainstream pics.

There are a few simple pleasures in life. Warm showers. Getting through the light just as it turns red. Tax refunds. And watching a movie on a nice leather couch. Sinking into the couches in the front of Visulite's theatres is like setting your caboose on a cloud. I only wish they'd add more couches--and maybe some closer to the... More

Without the Visulite there would not be a good cinema experience in Staunton. Movies shown here are the best, the Oscar winners, the unusual, the remembered and revisited. They also show live opera from The Metropolitan Opera House several times a year. You can't get much more culture than that!!!!!!

The Visulite is a very convenient little theater in Staunton. It's very "no frills" but I go to the movies to see a movie, so I like that. The staff are always friendly and the place is always clean. Never have to worry about not getting a seat either.

At last Staunton has an indie movie theater! Somehow the Visulite gets all the best reviewed films AND a lot of the mainstream blockbusters. The theater is state-of-the-art, the staff is friendly, they have gift certificates, and the popcorn is good!

We are glad to have another dollar theater and one on our side of town. All features are $2. Unlimited popcorn for $7. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Cushy seats, good screen and sound. Super location--near Split Banana gelateria. Did not try the popcorn.

My husband and I frequently see movies at the Visulite, either alone or with movie-loving friends. We are rarely fans of the 3-D movies as the content is most often for the juvenile audience, but we love that the owner brings the more "art movie" kinds of movies that often never arrive in towns the size of Staunton. We have... More

The screens and seating are nice and comfortable here. The ticket prices seem high for a small theatre like this. The popcorn tasted okay, but it did not taste like the most recently popped; rather it seemed that it had been sitting there for awhile. The staff are exceptionally friendly and courteous. They do have 3-D movies available, which is... More
