I grew up here and remember crabbing off Lesner bridge and when a lot of the beach condominiums were constructed. Still a family favorite for early morning risers to come and watch the morning dolphins. If you want waves, boardwalk, & diversions, head down to the oceanfront strip. For quiet gatherings with friends and family, come here.

I just love this beach. It is so quite with no boardwalks, just your locals with their family. If you are looking for big waves you might want to look somewhere else.

Nice beach for families or adults. Not many crazies here - mostly families and people having a good time. Limited parking; plan on doing some walking!

My wife and I visit Chicks just off Shore Drive every time we're in VA Beach - it's a MUST bar to visit! If we lived there, Chicks would be "Our Bar!" The seafood is fresh and the prices are fantastic. The staff is professional and fun, and the sunsets over Lynnhaven Inlent are a must see. ENJOY!.

To avoid the tourist of the Ocean Front and Atlantic Ave, go to Chick's Beach. The beaches are not as crowded and the traffic is not as bad. There are also some great restaurants in the area, like Zia's, 37 North and One Fish Two Fish

the Chesapeake Bay is a great place to take kids. No surf, great views of ship and boat traffic and even good fishing. Take the famikly and spend the day.
