love the sandstone cliffs and warm lagoons available only by water and is becoming increasingly popular with kayakers
This place is such a jewel I'm reluctant to review it because it may become over run with visitors. Anchor your boat in Reid harbor or kayak in to the campsites. Hike the trail to the light house, visiting the school, or just poke around the park. You will never forget the natural beauty.
Sucia is a great spot. Basically you have to have a boat, have access to a boat, or perhaps a float plane to access the island. It is a great place to boat to. Enjoy the naturally beauty, thin channels and much of what makes the San Juan Islands great. We didn't visit this on our recent trip to Orcas,...

We have often taken our family on our little boat and camped on the west side of the island. What a peaceful, lovely spot. Plenty of hikes, the bay is usually calm there. And there's usually water available (but not in August)
a migcal island on the edge of Georgia Straight, i have sailed there 100s of times in my boat and each experience is new and different. Great places to anchor, great hiking, bird watching, whales, seals, sea lions, eagles, wildflowers, unbelieveable rock formations, and just a great place to relax and enjoy nature and the water. A very special place.
An amazing place that you have to see for yourself. The wildlife here is remarkable. There's a lot more here than you can see at a glance, the sandstone formations are wild.
Sucia is a beautiful state park with lots of walking trails, and amazing sunsets...we have a boat, so we visit year round. Well worth a visit if you can get transport out here!
If you happen to have access to a boat in Puget Sound go here. You will be transported away from congestion, crazy news and the crowd to a beautiful, tranquil place where all there is, beautiful anchorages and bays, untouched forest and sublime trails through the woods
Take the water taxi from Smuggler's Villa, northshore of Orcas to Sucia. Rent kayaks for a spectacular circumnavigation of the park islands. Plenty of protected paddling waters.
