Beautiful castle but no longer open to public. The castle was originally built for a young bride but since has had several owners. We were told that the current owner will occasionally rent it out for weddings. The architecture is gorgeous in my opinion but go see for yourself.

Beautiful castle but wasn't open to the public so we could only see it from the side of the road. Wish we could have seen more!

This castle holds so much mystery and is a beautiful, interesting structure, but is closed to the public! Rumor has it, it is a private residence now and will not be open to the public.

We recently spend the weekend in Berkeley Springs. The castle is visible high on the hill overlooking the town. After a few days of looking at it we decided to drive up and see it. We didn't go in but didn't have to to know it wasn't worth the time. It is GAUDY! Gargoyles on the roof and out front,... More

This is no longer open. I visited it in the 1990s -- mediocre then, and not worth a visit even if it were open to the public.

On a busier road, park somewhere and gaze from afar or walk UP to view from across the road...as you cannnot go inside, this is not a real attraction

I have been twice. A very interesting story and thorough tour. The second time there was a bird in one of the closed off rooms and my friend and I were permitted to go in after it. Some supernatural vibes. TMW

While Berkeley Castle is still a magical sight in Berkeley Springs, since September 2000 it has been a private residence and public tours are no longer given much to the disappointment of many visitors. However, couples may marry at the Castle arranging the wedding through Coolfont Resort. It is also available as a film location and for commercial photo shoots. More
