If you are in Cheyenne, it is the one place I would be sure and visit. A nice museum, with a lot of interesting history and artifacts about Wyoming, which has a very interesting story to tell. You can easily spend an hour or more browsing through the exhibits. Don't miss the wonderful "story" about how Devil's Tower came to... More

I think this is a Very Good museum for Wyoming. It took us about an hour to visit and like the place a lot. Free helps, but we would of paid $5 each. Everyone was nice and there were some interactive exhibits. Visit here on a weekday and then check out the state capital building a block or two away.... More

We got stuck in Cheyenne because of snowy, closed & dangerous roads. A lady at Starbucks suggested we visit this museum. It was Sunday and parking was easy. The museum is free. It is well laid out, modern. & interesting. I really enjoyed the time we spent there.

There are two floors of the history of Wyoming. They encourage you to see all the exhibits by having a hunt for an item each day that you are supposed to find in the museum. I was not able to find the item during my visit but it was fun trying. Th elady said they give a prize for those... More

The museum is FREE so you can;t beat the price...just watch yourself in the gift shop because everything is overpriced. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

The kids museum is a great and cheap spot to take the kids. Our kids always like the dress up area. Also fun to get a taste of Wyoming history.

Knowing very little about this area of the states ,we found this museum full of interest .Well laid out ,a reasonably priced shop and very helpful staff.Cheyenne itself is the most enchanting place to visit .One gets a real flavour of America .

This place is staffed by volunteers and when we finished touring museum I couldn't wait to visit the gift shop but.....it was closed so the person staffing it could go to lunch. I was kind of surprised that they didn't have anyone else who could have staffed the register for an hour. I was really sad because i wanted to... More
