Neat old guns and the stories that go with them. Makes you want to go out searching yourself. These guns paint a picture of American history and the settling of the west and what it took to be a pioneer or mountain man.

Summer trip to visit Cody Wyoming, 2012. We were on our family holiday thru the U.S.A. this year and one of our stops was The Cody Dug Up Gun Museum. I am a history buff and thought that this would be a cool place to check out. We were met at the front by a nice young lady who took...

I didn't think I'd go to another gun museum after going to the Buffalo Bill Center, but this place is really something special. The Dug Up Gun Museum is a quick stop while in Cody, especially if you're interested in firearms. Takes about 30-45 minutes to see all the displays. A donation is requested. I'm not especially intrigued by firearms, but found the museum to be quite interesting.
wow this place is very intersting and the owners make it very interesting , some of the stories they told us about the guns and where and how they were found , Very cool place to see
My partner, who is especially interested in old firearms, loved this museum. He particularly enjoyed talking with Hans who is extremely knowledgeable and has lots of stories to tell. Shame that more people don't know about this museum, so spread the word.
We stopped in here at 8:45 after the gun fight and dinner. The owner was SO nice and knowledgeable. We could have spent much more time here than we did. Perfect for the gun nuts in your family. Revolutionary War all the way to WWII! Don't miss this little gem!
Amazing history... Goosebumps the whole time, looking at these unreal, historic artifacts... Blew my mind. A must see for anyone riding through or stopping in Cody, Wyoming.
