The view of the stars at night is stellar. After a canoe ride at dusk, making smores, we visited with mom and grandma before they took little sister home to the house. Grandpa and me rolled out our sleeping bags and just counted falling stars and watched the milky way. No lights or traffic to bother us, great place. Breakfast... More

As you leave Cody,WY for the eastern entrance of Yellowstone National park you will drive through the Buffalo Bill State Park with its beautiful lake and Shoshone River as well as outstandingly interesting rock formations. I only wish I had had time to hike or even just sit and contemplate and marvel at the scenery. Definitely worth the time if... More

We saw prairie dogs, mules, horses and other critters in this area. It was a fun area to visit especially for families. We highly recommend seeing this place near Cody.

We stayed at the Buffalo Bill state park in the campground for 2 days, and loved the location, and the clean well kept campsites. Our sites were lake side, and we looked out the window to great views of the lake and foothills of the surrounding area. It is approx. 10 miles west of Cody, just on the other side... More

Wow, what scenery. We camped overnight and had a very peaceful rest. The employees are friendly and very funny. We can not wait to go back and camp here again. Thanks, Wyoming.

Take the trip up the South Fork, it's gorgeous! I live in the area, but I will never get tired of how amazing it is.

The site and the views are great but a little disappointed about the lack of infrastructure to make it a funny day.

We've camped at North Shore Bay several times. We love it. The mountains surrounding the campground are beautiful and most sites have a perfect view of the reservior. The view of the stars are amazing. The winds-yikes! They come up quickly and seem to be blowing from every direction. Be prepared to tie down your tent. The last time we... More
