Given that our available time was very short, we sort of raced through many of the exhibits. To adequately take in everything, you really need to set aside at least 4-5 hours.

Some museums can be boring, but definitely not this one. Allow at least 2 -3 hours to really see this. One section shows many of the animals roaming Yellowstone in amazingly life like settings. Another section shows the life of Buffalo Bill with extremely interesting pictures, items and stories about his life, family and Wild West Show. If you only... More

so be sure to keep your receipt and get your hand stamped. I thought the admission was a bit steep but there is so much to look at here. Even two days isn't enough to see everything. There are 4 different museums in the building. I thought the most interesting was the Buffalo Bill exhibits. So much history and amazement... More

We have three kids (3,5,6) and there was almost too much information to take in while keeping them in order. One minor annoyance was the number of security guards who always seemed to be watching over us the whole time. Other than that, the people were very friendly. There are some activities for the kids to do--especially in the Yellowstone... More

There were 7 of us on this trip to Wyoming. Three were my husband's family visiting from Germany to the USA. All enjoyed the museum and so many things to see in the area. Rent a car and travel around Wyoming.

My husband had never visited the Center - and it had been years since I had. So we took a weekend trip to Cody for his birthday. He was blown away by the Center - much more than he expected it to be. It really is a first-class museum and operation. With such variety of exhibits, there's something for everyone.... More

This is a deceptive visitor center. It has one level looking from outside but goes down about three levels inside so is a huge place to tour. Give it a whole day, possibly two. They have added many more features since the last visit around 5 years ago.

This museum is awesome. We live locally and go there often. The gun collection is second to none! Fun for the entire family.

I could have stayed around this place for a couple of days and still not seen everything. The Natural History and Plains Indians museums were the highlights for me though. Excellent.

I loved this museum. It starts with a giant gun musuem. My husband was in heaven. He said it has more guns than the NRA museum. There is a lot of unique taxidermy that my 8 year old was facinated with. Then you move on to the american indian museum and then the wild west buffalo bill cody part which... More
