Newly remodeled exhibits just opened and they've done a superb job! Sharing the history of the region from homesteaders to elk hunters to dude ranching. Something for the kids too! Don't miss it!

It's pretty small, but that just means that it's a nice way to spend a couple hours or so. We particularly enjoyed learning the history of the area through the great photographs.

The museum had a lot of artifacts from the town's beginnings, and it was interesting to see. There wasn't a great deal on how the town came to be formed and detailed history but it felt very personal and I would recommend it. It wouldn't take more than 45 mins to an hour to go around, and cost $9 per... More

This is a small by intense dose of American West art. The bronzes that meet you in the parking lot look so dramatic with snow on. The building is modern but rugged, kid friendly, great high quality lunch cafe. The view of the elk refuge is right out the windows.

Although there was a small entrance fee, the museum provides a lot of good local information to put your visit to Jackson into historical perspective. Must have been quite an experience to live in this area in the early days of our country. Took about an hour to go through.

I love perusing town museums wherever I go and was pretty stoked to see Jackson, Wyoming's museum. It had a lot of things that were interesting to me including film locations for all of the great westerns that were shot in the area as well as a feature on the Dude Ranches and a lot of fun correspondence between them... The displays were interesting and well done. The map of movie locations was most interesting. The docent on site was very friendly and helpful.
