A gracefully restored mansion from another era... we enjoyed spending an hour on a guided tour of this property and its well-manicured gardens. It provided a fascinating insight into the life of the wealthy during the frontier times. Through storybooks from our childhood, we had preconceived ideas of what Laramie was going to be like and, for the most part,... More

The Ivinson Mansion is a wonderful piece of local history and architecture. The mansión has portions which may be rented making a great place to hold an event, such as a reception.

We were really happy to find this house and take the tour conducted by a nice young high school student. We learned a lot about the occupants of the mansion. It was a nice diversion doing our long driving trip.

This is a good example of how the successful people lived out on the frontier. The museum is well put together and they have a great venue for weddings.

Beautifully restored with some original items and many donated items, the mansion tells a great story of the ivinson family and Laramie. The docents are knowledgeable and have good stories to share. Pay attention to the beautiful prison furniture. There are 19 pieces. Also find something to buy in the gift shop to support maintenance of the mansion. There are... More

This was a fun tour. There were fascinating items in this house that I had never seen, like a very expensive shower with nozzles all round. The lady of the house apparently liked to be sure that everything she had was better than her visitors had.

This is a lovingly restored home. The women who saved this home from demolition should be commended. Our guide, Sylvia Hansen, had been a volunteer guide for 9 years. She is knowledgeable and patient. Each of 3 stories has 3,000 sq. ft., so there is a lot to see. The grounds and the gift shop are also quite nice. The... More

The mansion has been beautifully restored and furnished. The tour was very informative and is well worth the $10 admission fee.

We attended a wedding reception here, and it was beautiful. The food was also good; not sure if it was an outside caterer or not.
