Surprised to find a Foodland branch at this fancy resort mall (called Foodland Farms here). If you don't have a customer card yet, ask the cashier to sign you up so you get discounted prices at Foodland and Sack N Save stores. The deli counter is pretty good. Go to Waimea Foodland or Sack N Save for better selection of... More

The free Luau show is great at The Shops. Plenty of seating for every one. The music was great, the MC lady did well and the dancers were wonderful. We bought snacks at the grocery store there.

Free show every Monday and Thursday night at 7pm. Their dances are very good and they even have fire dancers and little, itty bitty kiddie dancers. We later went to a $$$ luau and the dancers at the Shops at Mauna Lani were just as good and performed almost as long as the ones at the luau. Worth seeing!!!

As others have noted this is a pricy location. The Tommy Bahama shop is fun. Otherwise better shopping south at Wiakoloa King and Queen's shops. Best meal value and 64oz Margarita at Just Tacos. It was so unbelievably large that several people not only stared but actually asked us it…fortunately we were walking the person drinking it home…

Took a shopping and beach trip. The resort was beautiful. Eat at Tommy Bahama's. Make sure you packed your swim/ stuff for a nice afternoon at the beach after lunch. Ask at Tommy's how to get to the 49s black beach on the resort. Public access is ok and there is room for about 20 cars. Showers and bathrooms are... More

The host at the free hula and fire show is very rude. She was disrespectful to one of the dancers. She pushed a dancer in front of everyone. The audience watching felt awkward while watching her treat the dancers unkindly. After the show, I witnessed the host being mean to one of the tourists. The tourist asked for a picture... More

Nice area with pricey shops. Went to the free hula showing today (Monday) and they had very beautiful dancing and singing. When we were watching the 'manager' came out saying it was one of the dancers birthdays so they huddle around and before the dancer blows out his candles another dancer wants to move in closer and for no reason... We had a wonderful dinner at Tommy Bahama's, located at the Mauna Lani shops. While this is upscale dining, it was family friendly. We had cocktails and entrees, no dessert, and our bill was $100+ so it is a bit pricey. I had one of their nightly specials, a marlin steak, and it was very, very good. My husband had... More

We went down one evening & enjoyed a great music, hula, and Polynesian dance performance- Very fun and very well done. If you can swing through Waikoloa area or are staying there- don't miss out! Fun, free, and local.

While staying at a condo within the Mauna Lani Complex, we frequented The Shops at Mauna Lani for some groceries and sushi from Foodland Farms as well as for smoothies from 101 Juices. There is a free hula/fire dancer show twice a week with a different program. Went on both nights and loved the Thursday program best. It is a... More
