We wanted a smaller boat experience for snorkeling and this was perfect for us. Jack and Allison were both really friendly and laid back, and made the trip a breeze. We got plenty of dolphin sightings with more than enough time in the water for snorkeling. Reservations, check-in, etc. were all quick and easy.
We were there just before the fire that devastated Lahaina. I'm really hoping that everyone that works there is okay and they're able to recover as quickly as possible. Once they're back up and running I highly recommend them as one great way to help put more tourism dollars back into the local economy while getting a wonderful day on the water in return.

We had an absolutely fabulous time, the crew were fantastic and they made the entire experience the best outing we had during our Hawaiian holiday.

I had an incredible time on this tour!!! I live on O'ahu, and the snorkeling in Lanai was the best I've ever seen in Hawaii. The conditions were amazing - excellent clarity, tons of fish, healthy coral, and lots of turtles. Allison and Jack are awesome. Some customers requested turtles, so they took us to a dive site with more turtles; they customized the tour to be perfect for our group. There are so many companies running similar tours in Maui so I was very torn about who to book - I will 100% be back out with this company. You won't regret it! The playlist on the boat was fire too. Our guides also gave me recommendations for other things to do on-island after the tour - everything they suggested was great too.
And we saw the biggest pod of dolphins I've ever seen!!!

My family was very pleased with our excursion. The crew was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area and marine life. The sites they took us to snorkle had tons of fish and sea turtles. Highly recommend them!

We are from Florida so we have seen most of the major and minor reefs in the Caribbean. These reefs we were taken to have by far more life and color than in the Caribbean.
We were unable to go to lanai because of the high winds. It would have been a horrible ride out there and I’m glad we didn’t go. BECAUSE we were taken to this reef that was a collapsed pier. There were so many sea turtles I lost counts after around 50. And because we were the first boat there we got to do most of this with no one really around us. When we had our full we started to get back on the boat where our amazing guide was pointing out this pod of dolphins way in the distance. But then they all started swimming towards us jumping in and out of the water. Our guide advised us to all get back in the water we didn’t want to miss this. A pod of over 100 dolphins swam right past us playing and dancing in the water. The sound they made communicating with each other was unlike anything I’ve ever heard. It was such an amazing once in a lifetime experience we got to see because of our guides willing to adapt to the windy weather. One of the guides had her GoPro in the water and ever airdropped me the video. The picture attached is courtesy of our guide (sorry I don’t remember her name)!
Next, we headed to another spot where we were able to go because we had a smaller boat made for more shallow areas. It was nice to be the only people there AGAIN!
Then, we went to another reef which was just as spectacular as the other two.

Small group tour (18 or less. (I always book smaller tours).
Jay and Jack were great personalities and offered their knowledge either by group or personally. We enjoyed the ability to have one on one conversation with the crew.
Jay and Jack were attentive to our abilities or lack there of..
Dolphins and sea turtles were spotted up close, along with thee many species of fish.
Rain and fog canceled our initial reservation by we rescheduled seamlessly for the following day.
We would reserve this company again and recommend it to others.

May 2023 • Friends
Four long-time friends, all of us in our sixties, arrived at the island on a ship, and after being tendered across to the harbour took a walk along the quay side to see what we could book for a bit of exploring. We took a look at every one of the vendors and asked some for more information before deciding on Maui Adventure Cruises. The reason that we plumped for this company, over all of the others, was that first of all they were cheaper than the rest at $113 per person. Then we liked all that we heard from the pleasant young lady on the booth. Finally, before purchasing, we took a walk down to where the RIB was tied up and spoke to Kerry the skipper, who was just a thoroughly nice guy, about the trip and the boat. We were impressed with all that he told us, and everything on the boat looked to be in good order for our snorkelling excursion, so we went ahead and booked. We then did a bit of exploring around the shopping area before returning half an hour before the trip to do the waiver forms and get briefed for the ride. During this briefing we were offered some neoprene jackets for hire at $10. There was no pressure to hire them and initially we declined, but after considering what Alison, the boat’s other crew member, told us, we decided to get one each. This was a totally good call as they are a great piece of kit for when you are in the water to keep your upper torso a bit warmer, and they also offer some protection when the RIB is speeding through the waves. At this time, we were also given a snack bag which contained crisps, a piece of fruit and a snack bar, which again showed us the quality of this company – there was also a large cool box at the front of the boat filled with an assortment of drinks, which you could help yourself to, and you could have as many as you desired throughout the trip. Whilst waiting to board we noticed a woman of a more senior age than all of us who was using a rollator. We surreptitiously whispered to each other that we did not think that this was the trip for her, but she was sold a ticket anyway. Oh, how wrong we were, and we needn’t have worried as Kerry and Alison had all of the bases covered, and this quite spritely senior citizen was helped in and out of the water and was given a brilliant flotation aid to ensure that she came to no harm. This just showed us the professionalism of this team and company. When we boarded the boat, we were pleasantly surprised to find that there was dry storage under all of the seats to store our gear – now we’ve been on quite a few of these types of excursions in different parts of the world and normally your gear is on the floor of the boat and usually gets soaked – not on this high-quality RIB. Everything about the boat and equipment smacked of class and it was obvious that a lot of thought had gone into making these excursions enjoyable and a trip to remember. Anyway, off we went in the RIB at high speed, skipping over the waves to our first snorkelling area. We were soon in the water wearing the useful neoprene jacket and good quality mask, snorkel and flippers. We were soon seeing a multitude of different fish and turtles. Once we had our fill of that site Kerry sped to another site which was over a broken-down quay, where again we saw lots of fish and turtles, and this time a reef shark – amazing how everyone, including myself, made our way closer to the boat, even though Kerry was shouting that it was harmless. After we had finished our snorkelling all of the kit was disinfected and stored away for the next trip, which again showed the quality of this company. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon, we all thought that the excursion was great value for money, and we can’t recommend this trip enough.

Had a great trip to see Lanai and dolphins. First mate Shannon was a wiz at finding the pod.
The captain was both funny and very professional!
Came with snacks and lunch and all the drinks you could need!
We really found this better than molokini snorkel. The coral was outstanding!!

Why is management so against people asking for life vests?
I understand that a noodle is better , but if someone wants a life vest why embarrass them?
Why answer trip advisor with such arrogance ?
I'm a great swimmer but was planing on asking to see them!

Life vests are designed to keep your head out of the water so you can breathe. A pool noodle gives your upper body extra flotation, yet allows you to put your mask and snorkel into the correct position to observe that which you have paid to see!

My understanding is 'yes', but you aren't stuck on the boat for very long. They're Rigid Inflatables, and the one we rode on was equipped with a Scarab 44 hull, which cut the waves very well. I don't think I'd want to use the head while under power... it's never a smooth ride due to the confluence of currents between the islands. I don't typically get seasick, but put me in a confined space with no view of the horizon, and less-than-fresh air to breath, and I'm not feeling well... ;-)
