If you want to see Maui's ocean life, you can go snorkeling or diving and take your chances with the weather. Or you can go to the Maui Ocean Center. You will see far more marine life here than you will in 100 snorkeling tours, however. There are turtles, sharks, rays, and many other types of fish and animals of... More

Our family always includes educational activities during our trips, and we found the Maui Ocean Center to be an enjoyable place to visit during our recent trip to the island. The Center features local marine life via displays and aquaria that are well-designed and kid-friendly. It isn't too large (and was pleasantly uncrowded), compared to other oceanariums that we've visited,... More

Nicely put together aquarium with lots to see plus it didn't feel like Sea World! We liked the small aquarium displays as well as the huge walk-through shark tank full of sharks, rays and many variety of fishes.

While vacationing in Maui it was raining the first few days during our stay; so we had decided to do something fun indoors. We love seeing the sea life in Hawaii and this aquarium is definitely a must see for your vacation in Maui. We had purchased our tickets in advanced to receive a discount if you bought them the... This is not the biggest aquarium, you can get through the whole thing in 2 hours but I thought it was informative and educating. They have a huge tank with sharks, rays and other wish which scuba divers actually get in with so that was pretty awesome. I would recommend this to visitors, especially those who love the ocean so... More

Having been to the Genoa Italy Aquarium, Scripps San Diego and now Maui; this is a must see. Tropical fish are displayed in large viewable tanks to witnessed aqua species in their natural habitat. You can ease the entrance line by per-booking via their website

This gives a great overview of the sea life of the area, but the $25 admission price is quite steep for what you get. If you have a AAA membership or are military you can get a discount. There is a plexi sea tunnel that lets you walk through while manta rays and other fish glide over your head. Be... More

We have been to many aquariums, and this one is awesome. We did the extra flippers and fins behind the scenes tour. So worth it! We got to see and hear about the coral restorations that are going on, touch baby sea turtles, feed the sharks, etc.... Gift shop has lots of fun unique things as well. This was one... More

My wife and I live on Maui and we decided to "escape" the daily bustle of tourist's, heat, and Great weather... hehehehe.... So we decided to take in the Maui Aquarium and all it had to offer.. It was a great decision and we completely loved the visit. From the tide pools with star fish, small pools with local reef... More
