We stayed here while visiting our military family living in Hawaii. It takes a few hours to get used to the calm, accept the renewal of senses. We always have so much to do when we're in Hawaii, but this is the place to chill, breathe, read, and just let yourself fall in love with the best things about Hawaii.... More

My friend and I was looking forward to this outing at this highly regarded beach park. Upon arrival the quaint narrow road into this AF beach open to the public, revealed a seemingly beautiful beach of white sands and bluest of water. Reality set in as we walked down to the beach from parking, and seeing the trash along the... More

A little primative, but what you would expect from a beach side cabin. The sand on the beach was perfect for building castles and forts for the kids. Rented beach equipment at a reasonable price

This is a Nice Hawaiian beach however if your making the trip you probably wanna go somewhere else Like Sandy Beach or the North Shore. We were able to get shaded areas however the tree debris was annoying. I had to keep my Flip Flops on the whole time so I didn't step on an errant pieces of nature. Bring... More

Tranquility, beauty, and the best sand on the island! This is the second year at Bellows, and great place to swim, walk, and just enjoy. The undertow is gentle compared to most of the island, and the sand is like sugar.

Waimanalo is the best beach on Oahu. My favourite beach in all of Hawaii, and that is saying something. It beats out Lanikai, which is a different kind of beach. The military section (Bellows Beach) is supposedly only open to the public on weekends. It's in front of Bellows Air Base and I assume they use the beach area for... More

This is a very nice beach on the windward side of O'ahu. The surf is rarely too much for older kids, and it's never crowded. Still, as with every possible tourist destination in Hawai'i, keep an eye on your stuff.

Bellows Beach, located along Waimanalo Bay, is ideal for swimming, bodyboarding, and sunbathing. The soft, white sand is just perfect. The calm, shallow water is great and safe for younger swimmers. There are a few times when the ocean waves are large and lots of fun to "ride". I wouldn't recommend snorkeling here as there's not much to see below... More

We have lived on Oahu for few months now, so after a while one gets spoiled. But finally we went to the Bellows Field Beach Park today, after hearing and reading all these good things about it, and our expectations have been met and then some. Spectacular views, great sand, good waves (for us, we are not North Shore or... More

This is my third time going to this beach and it is always beautiful and peaceful. The waves are fun,the sand is soft, and it remains one of my favorite beaches in Oahu.
