What a great experience, the self-guided tours are excellent and easy to follow. Huge gift shop, and many photo ops.

This is one of the best tours I've ever been on. You get headphones to wear as you go round the prison and its former prisoners narrating. This tour is a must if you're visiting San Francisco.
